Suggest Treatment For Parotitis Symptoms?
Question: My parotid gland facial area is swelling. Trying to control this at home. Do I use lemon drops or juice to help? Heat?
Brief Answer:
antibiotic required
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome. If this is not caused by tooth issue then this may indicate parotitis and this condition is treated by antibiotic therapy. This is caused by clogged gland ducts. You should take ibuprofen, do glands massaging with heat, drink more fluids, warm tea which should be kept for 1min in mouth. It should relax glands ducts and release pressure in it. WIsh you good health. Regards
