Detailed Answer:
Hi Romen,
I read carefully all your wife concerns and I am sorry for the situation she is in.
You are reporting that she has blood and mucous on stool with watery diarrhea.
In such cases I recommend to go to ER. She needs IV treatment and rehidrations.
Her symptoms may be related with :
- acute bacterial gastrointestinal infection
- IBD( inflammatory bowel disease)
The fact that she is with diabetes, prolonges teh recovery time.
What I am trying to say is that her symptoms can not be treated with OTC drugs prescriptions.
If I were her treating doctor I would suggest as follows:
- fecal culture test
- blood work
- fecal calprotectine test
- C-protein reactive level.
She needs IV liquids ,electrolites and antibiotics.
Meantime you can use ;
- plenty of water
- metronidazole
- probiotics
- tasectan and hydramine.
Hope it was helpful to you.
