Suggest Treatment For Persistent Abdominal Pain

Question: I have been experiencing intense abdominal pain, in the morning, for the last year. It is like hunger pain on steroids. It usually goes away after I eat. However, yesterday, the pains woke me up and lasted for around 10 hours. Doubled me over. couldn't eat. urge to vomit once. Was a little bit of clear liquid and brownish liquid. What could it be?
Brief Answer:
Peptic ulcer can be the case.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Your symptoms are very characteristic for a peptic ulcer. Most likely it is located in the duodenum. The pain is usually dull and does not radiate anywhere. Nausea is also common symptom of an ulcer.
I suggest you to consult gastrologist. Gastroscopy is strongly advisable to diagnose the ulcer and to rule out a cancer. Please do not wait with it as an ulcer may result with a perforation.
In a meanwhile you should avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee, alcohol, chocolate, orange juices.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
