Brief Answer:
Inhaled treatment is best treatment for asthma.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Asthma is allergic airway inflammatory disease.
It is chronic disease and needs long term therapy.
Treatment of asthma is based on severity of the disease. And for severity, PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) is needed.
Best treatment of allergy is identification of allergen and if possible complete avoidance of it.
Inhaled treatment is best treatment for asthma.
Inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) are mainstay of treatment.
Inhaled bronchodilators like formoterol, salmeterol etc and ICS like budesonide, fluticasone etc are best treatment of asthma.
Oral combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs are also helpful in asthma.
So please let me know
1. Which drugs are you taking for asthma?
2. Have you ever undergone PFT?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
