Posted on Fri, 10 Mar 2017
Question: Hi, a couple of days ago i was playing golf and was very dizzy the whole round. Then again last night I was getting ready to work out but I realized i was too dizzy. It's like I have a hard time with seeing motion like things are blurry or stuck like a bad camera. Then it happened again this morning and again tonight after I got off of the treadmill. Also, tonight my hands are shaking pretty bad and I have a little bit of an upset stomach now.

Brief Answer:
Viral illness is probable in your case- you'll be fine--- need REST

Detailed Answer:
Good evening. I've read your case and for your age and constitution of what sounds to be a normally healthy and active youthful middle aged male my guess is that you're suffering from a viral illness which is affecting primarily your GI system and secondarily giving you some possible loss in muscle power or strength and then, possibly either some possible headache aura symptoms.....or having your conditioning affected to the point of becomin a bit hypoglycemic causing you to be a bit blurred in vision and shaky in the hands.

We are currently at the tail end of what is known as the NOROVIRUS season which is the old STOMACH FLU you hear so much about. People typically get GI symptoms including upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhea, and then, the generalized symptoms of any viral problem which is loss of stamina or conditioning causing symptoms of blurry vision, fatigue, lethargy, unusual tiredness, etc.

The Norovirus runs for 7-14 days and just like all viral infections good hydration, good nutrition, and REST are key to good recovery. But you will live to pay your taxes in April....I promise.

If I were you I would take the next 48 hrs off from the gym....but stick to the rest of your daily routine....go to bed earlier than usual for the next 3-5 days and you will see how quickly things will turn around. Drinks just tons and tons of fluid, stay away from caffeinated beverages such as coffee, herbal/Chinese teas, and pop, and see if you can soften up the diet to keep simple and without a whole of tangy spices and grease for the next 48-72 hrs.

If I've provided useful and helpful information to your questions could you do me a huge favor by CLOSING THE QUERY and be sure to include some fine words of feedback along with a 5 STAR rating? Again, many thanks for submitting your inquiry and please let me know how things turn out.
