Question: HI my question is this, I've had an ear infection for over 2 weeks have been on zpack and then amoxicillin for a week, I can tell my ear is still funny but worse yet for the last 2 days I haven't been urinateing as much or as often as I usually do, a few days ago I didn't sleep at all and wondering if I'm just panicking about this, I'm still urinateing but only about half normal what I usually do, any advice?

Brief Answer:
Perfectly normal response to certain antibiotics, do not worry sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Assuming you are consuming the usual amount of fluids you always do, you should know that quite a few medications can cause low urine output such as antibiotics, anticholinergics, etc. Do not worry sir, your urine output should return to normal soon after discontinuation of the antibiotics (but do so only once the course is complete).

This is nothing to worry about and is considered a perfectly normal response. I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
