Question: I have been having a trigger finger,
right hand middle finger, over the last 5 months. It's not painful except in the mornings it gets locked and it takes some time to get it straightened! Tried pain killers but the problem is still there.

Brief Answer:
You can try steroid injection or surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Trigger finger if not responding to physiotherapy and stretching then you can try these options.
1.Steroid injection at the base of finger. It can be given by orthopaedic doctor and it gives good relief. Some time you may need repeat injection after three months but some time only single injection is enough.
2.If steroid injection is also not working then you have to think of surgery as last resort. It is small procedure and you will feel better immediately after surgery. You need to take rest for two weeks for stitch removal. It is done in local anaesthesia and it is a day care procedure.
I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
