Suggest Treatment For Persistent Hemorrhagic Cyst In The Ovary
Question: Hi,
I was diagnosed with an hemorrhagic cyst about 2 week ago (Ultra Sound demonstrated a 3.6 cm complex cyst on my left ovary). The pain stopped and I don't have any other symptoms other than a lightly bloated tummy. I was told the cyst would most likely subside on its own in a few weeks and have another ultra sound in 6 weeks to check the progress. I'm also trying to get pregnant (stopped the contraceptive pill), is it safe to get pregnant even if the cyst is still on my ovary?

Brief Answer:
Better to plan pregnancy once the cyst is resolved
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
It is advisable to get pregnant only once the cyst is resolved, as pregnancy can increase the size of haemorrhagic cyst due to hormonal changes.
Pregnancy also increases the chances of torsion and pain in the ovarian cyst.
So, I suggest you to plan pregnancy only once the cyst is resolved.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
