Suggest Treatment For Persistent Severe Pain In Knee And Ankle
Question: I have a problem concerning my right leg that started about 8 months ago with pain between the knee and ankle. It later seems to involve my upper leg and hip. It causes me to limp with pain. Have tried many so-called pain relievers and 'miracle' herbal products but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated..
Brief Answer:
It can be nerve compression in spine
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and i think that these symptoms are due to nerve compression in the spine. But before I advised you any thing I would like to know little detail of this illness.
1.Are you having pain on rest also or only during walking?
2.Is this pain associated with tingling and numbness?
3.Do you have difficulty in squatting and sitting cross leg?
Please send me answers of these questions. I will try my best to help you.
thanks

Brief Answer:
it is due to nerve compression in the spine
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Condition you are suffering from is called lumbar canal stenosis. In this condition there is narrowing of spinal canal that leads to nerve compression during walking. when you sit then nerves become relax and pain decreases.
For confirmation you need to get MRI of the spine. If there is narrowing then following are steps to treat.
1.In early stage tablet Pregabalin M is given.
2.Back muscles exercises will help.
2.In latter stage you need to take surgery as an option. In this surgery small window is made in spine and it will relieve pressure on nerves.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
