Suggest Treatment For Persistent Shoulder Pain
I was feeling week today and I checked my heart rate -
68 bpm at 21:47 (when I woke up from sleep)
87 bpm at 22:01 (I went to wash face etc)
73 bpm when I came and sat idle at 22:08
Is there anything to worry about should I go to doctor ?
there is no swet or anyother symptoms.
I have a tender spot on the shoulder and when I touch that spot it pains. Its at the joint. I dont feel the pain when I touch on my right shoulder.
You don't need to go to the ER & contact an orthopedics...
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concern.
What you are experiencing is related to left shoulder joint and doesn't seems associated with cardiac or other life threatening disease. As such you don't need to go to the ER, unless the pain is insupportable.
I would recommend contacting an orthopedics for a proper evaluation of your shoulder region, but it looks like left shoulder bursitis. If you were my patient I would recommend the following examinations to find out the right etiology:
- Blood work
- ECG
- Chest x ray
- Shoulder x ray
- Shoulder MRI (if all the previous examinations don’t show any evident problem).
Meanwhile you can use pain killer o.t.c (tylenol, advil) and hot bags for pain relief.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

I was worried as I had giddiness when I woke up as I slept in the evening 4:30 PM and was worried what is causing the giddiness.
I don't have any other symptoms, and I don't smoke or drink. I did the blood work in Nov-Dec last year

I have high cholesterol . I had lack of sleep from last few days or months due to my work schedule. I am worried if I am causing issues to my health by doing so. Need your help and guidance.
Controlling stress highly recommended
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
I was reviewing your lab reports and found nothing worrisome. It is true that your total and LDL cholesterol are slightly elevated. However, they are still not worrisome.
Implementing changes in your diet and lifestyle regimen can optimize your cholesterol numbers.
Being stressed by your work plays an important role in your health problems.
I also advise to try to control stress as this will alleviate your symptoms.
All the best!
