Suggest Treatment For Persistent Vomiting

Question: My husband started throwing up yesterday about 6 30 pm. He is still throwing up today and has not stopped for any great length of time. He has tried to drink water so as not to dehydrate and ginger ale and both come up immediately. He has terrible cramps but no dyarhea or fever that I can tell. No muscle aches. At first I thought this was food poisoning but he keeps throwing up now for over 24 hrs. He is throwing up a lot of liquid sometimes light brown sometimes green when he has nothing in his stomach and hasn't had for over 24 hrs. Should I take him to the emergency or let it run it's course, whatever that may be. He also has a runny nose but no other cold symtoms.
Brief Answer:
Take him to ER
