Suggest Treatment For Phimosis

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Jan 2016
Question: I am a 30 yr old guy, married since a year and a half.

I am suffering from phimosis, my foreskin has never been pulled back (only once years ago which was painful). As a result, I haven't been able to have intercourse with my wife. But now, we are planning to extend our family, and start having regular intercourse.

I have read umpteen articles on phimosis remedies, but I am too scared to pull it back. I have few questions on the same -

1. Is it fine if I do not undergo any operation like circumcision ?
2. Is this normal, and does the foreskin really need to go back to have intercourse ? I believe the semen is required to reach the vagina to deem an intercourse successful, right ?
3. Should I try to have intercourse without having much inhibitions and the foreskin will go back by itself ? As I said, I get goosebumps when I try to pull it back.

Appreciate your prompt feedback !
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
You need to undergo surgery. You can have intercourse.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Phimosis is a fairly common problem and you need not worry about it.
It is perfectly fine if you donot want to undergo any surgery for the Phimosis.
The foreskin does not need to go back during intercourse though it usually does. Completion of intercourse and conception do not require the foreskin to be retracted. Both can happen with the foreskin in place. But usually as the size of the penis grows during the process of intercourse the foreskin retracts on its own. And the pain and odd feeling also becomes alright.
Therefore, just have intercourse as being normal and do not worry about the Phimosis. If it goes back then fine and even if it doesnt then you need not worry as long as you have complete intercourse and the semen is lodged in the vagina.
It is true that the semen should reach the vagina for the sperms to ascend and reach the egg for conception to happen.
Therefore relax.
Do let me know if there are any other queries.
