I had a stinging like feeling a couple of days ago when i washed my penis with water during shower. I am uncircumcised and my foreskin doesn t retract. So i was unable to see the area where it was hurting. After waiting a couple of days the pain has reduced but I was curious to know what it looked like so I used a Johnson bud to retract the foreskin and see. It looks like a pimple about to dry up. Please help in suggesting what this could be?
A few causes of pain and redness on the head of penis are allergic rash (due to soap or any chemicals), infections (like fungal, bacterial and viral), sexually transmitted diseases or balanitis (which is inflammation of head of penis due to improper hygiene). In your case, it's due to inability to retract the foreskin and accumulation of secretions leading to inflammation of that area.
Clean the area properly. If you can't retract the foreskin, please contact a surgeon or a urologist. Antibiotics may be necessary and will be decided after clinical examination in person. So, please do consult a urologist for further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
