Suggest Treatment For Photodermatitis
Question: My skin which is normally clear began to thickened and peel massively. It looks like a blemish but if I look closer it's surrounded by layers of skin. If I try to peel the skin or pop the blemish there is only skin on top of skin. If peeled off, it is rapidly replenished
Brief Answer:
Photodermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
It is looking like photodermatitis, a type of allergic reaction.
I treat such cases with a combination of topical steroid cream like cortisone to be applied in night and a sunscreen with spf 50 to be applied in morning.
Avoid peeling of skin, Let it heal on its own.
Use the above medication for a month and see the results.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
