Brief Answer:
Folliculitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
This was folliculitis where there was sebum collection and the black spec was formed after the pimple was popped out probably as a part of healing. Folliculitis is painful and till the sebum is extruded remains so.
It doesn't look like a melanoma or a std lesion especially herpes or even molluscum. So rest assured, if its gone then there is no fear. Suggested to keep the groin area well shaved and cleaner to avoid future episodes of follicle infection.
Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I think if you manage to trim or clip well then shaving may not be necessary. Ideal is that the pubic hair shouldn't break due to friction which can then get infected forming a pimple.
