Suggest Treatment For Pityriasis Versicolor
Question: Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM
The condition you have described is called pityriasis versicolor, a superficial skin infection caused by a fungus.
I would recommend you 2 single dose of oral fluconazole 400mg with a gap of 15 days.
Apply ketoconazole cream twice a day.
Use shampoo containing ketoconazole and selenium sulfite for rinsing daily.
Maintain hygiene.
Hope you will get fine soon
Let me know if you need any more assistance from my side.
Thank you

But i went to the pharmacy and they said I need a prescription... how do I get it??

Brief Answer:
Can get the prescription by your dermatologist...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You need prescription for Fluconazole tablets. Should see a local dermatologist to get the prescription.
As far as I know, ketoconazole shampoo and ketoconazole cream are sold as over-the-counter. If they do not sell them as OTC, then, should obtain the prescription by your local dermatologist.
Unfortunately, it is against our terms-and-conditions to prescribe medications online.
