Suggest Treatment For Pricks In Left Side Of The Body

I have visited you at Apollo Clinic Jubilee hills Hyderabad on 11-1-2014. Below is summary of the discussion we had :
Symptoms : Pricks in left side of the body, difficulty in breathing, some time negative thoughts
Tests undergone : 1. MRI + MR Venogram brain
2. Vitamin B12 test
Medicine prescribed :
1. Multi Neuron Tablet(9 am daily)
2. Ciplar LA 40 mg (9pm daily)
I have been taking these medicine since then and have been improving.
I didn't get a chance to meet you after that as I have moved to Bangalore.

Below are the questions I would like to ask :

1. Any change in medicine ?. Also, that Multi Neuron is not available in Bangalore. Any alternative medicine ?
2. I am still not feeling 100% cured. Though it has improved but I am still getting pain on left side of body. I feel the pain is in one nerve which flow from my head to feet. The pain increases even if I run for few minutes. So, would ask you to give it another thought on the diagnosis and let me know if there could be other reason for this.

Please help me answer my quest so that I can be mentally satisfied with the treatment,

I have noted your progress over the past three months or so. It is good to note that you are getting better.

I have noted your current symptoms of left-sided pain (from head to foot) and the fact that it increases after minimal exertion.

At this stage, I would like to suggest you the following medications:

1. CAP. NUROKIND NEXT one daily after breakfast (this is an alternative to multineuron).

2. CAP. BETACAP PLUS at night after dinner.

If I had seen you in my clinic, I would have started a dose of 10 mg for Betacap plus.

You would require treatment for a total of 3-6 months. However, after one month, please report me about your progress.

Yes, your understanding of the prescription is correct.

CIPLAR-LA 40 mg is not needed now.

Hypoplastic means narrow. Transverse sinus and sigmoid sinus are the names of veins in the brain.

In your case, narrowing of veins is contributing to a form of migraine- that is your disease. This responds to medical treatment and there is no need to worry.

I am feeling very dizzy after taking :

1. Multi Neuron one daily after breakfast.

Is this Normal.?
Also, is this BETACAP PLUS a tranquiliser.?....

Betacap plus may cause dizziness for a few days.

Betacap plus contains a combination of propranolol and flunarizine. Flunarizine may cause dizziness and sleepiness for a few days. There is no need to worry, as these side effects stop in 7-10 days.

Betacap plus is not a tranquilizer or sedative.

Really want to say a BIG Thank you for your diagnosis and recommending this medicine. I am feeling really amazed after long time. Now I am able to get complete breaths and getting good sleep.
