Suggest Treatment For Problems In Balance And Mental Focus

Question: For the best part of the past 6 months I have problems maintaining balance and mental focus on close up issues such as reading. I've seen a Ophthalmologist and was assured that my eyes was not the problem. AS long as I remain seated I;m fine on the balance issue but not to the concentration of focus on the task on hand such as reading. I need help and I don't think pain pills nor the Ophthalmologist of any help.
In folow up to my earlier comments I failed to mention hat I have had Cataract surgery and since then my eyes are extremely light sensitive especially any light from above the eye leval. Is that considered normal.

Brief Answer:
Could be a cerebellar involvement
Detailed Answer:
Balance is maintained by 3 system.
Ophthalmic cause is ok, as per your query.
The other cause could be an ENT cause or a neurological cause.
I would suggest an Mri brain to rule out cerebellar causes, and a PTA test for ENT CAUSES...
Examination could have helped localise between the two but the tests will still be needed.
So suggest that you have them
best of luck.
