Suggest Treatment For Pulsatile Tinnitus And Headaches
Question: I've just developed a half dollar sized hard red lump at my hairline/temple area. Have pulsatile tinnitus and regular headaches as well as being recently tested for autoimmune diseases. Results not in. should I be concerned about the new lump on my head.?

I am so sorry to hear about this bump and all the disturbing thoughts that this has caused you. I have reviewed the information and image fully. The location of this bump has got no lymph nodes and as such this doesn't represents a swollen lymph node. The only structures here present are soft tissues and bone. I can tell from the image that your hand has been on this area over and over and that is why it appears red. Please, restrain fro doing so as this would cause inflammation and further make it more noticeable and not helping.
There is really nothing to worry about now. This bump is barely visible and sure after efforts to spot it. I will recommend that you do more of monitoring at this time and should it increase in size, then we would be taking further measures to pinpoint what it represents and what actions needs to be taken.
For the headaches and tinnitus, is your blood pressure well controlled? Let me know what your most recent readings are.

The bump was red before I touched it. My BP is controlled and I have been to neurologists, otolaryngologists, and internal med doctors for the pulsatile tinnitus and chronic headaches. I have an appt. w a neurotologist/base skull surgeon on 10/17, a rheumatologist for lupus symtoms on 10/18. One neurologist said I have hardening of arteries pressing against my skull. That is why I am sched to c a neurotologist at XXXXXXX in few weeks. That is why I am concerned about the sudden movement of a lump on my skull to my hairline in a matter of hours.
