Hi, welcome to HCM,

Rash on unilateral leg is due to Tinea corporis, most probably.
It is a fungal infection starts as papule and spreads slowly.
Desonide is a low potency steroid and subsides the symptom of tinea, never cures it.

Other differential may be allergic contact dermatitis.
