Brief Answer:
You can take an antihistaminic except if you have serious symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns.

You can control mild drug allergy with an over the counter antihistamines such as CETIRIZINE (10 mg once daily before going to bed). But you should know that drug allergy can lead to serious symptoms.

I'm listing the warning signs below. If you experience any of the warning signs , please don't delay anymore and just go the emergency room immediately..

The warning signs include 1) difficulty breathing
2) rapid heart beats
3) sense of tightness in the throat
4) swollen tongue and lips
5) dizziness.

I hope I answered your question. In case of any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me..

Wish you good health
