Suggest Treatment For Rectal Bleeding Along With Internal Hemorrhoids
Question: I have some rectal bleeding from internal hemorrhoids became a problem after i had external beam radiation. 6/2012 27 treatments. Been taking Hydro-cortisone suppositories. and Hem Clear. I have ITP chronic I take Nplate injection one a week. The bleeding come and goes. One DR using a anoscope said he saw the Hemorrholids. What is the best way to control the bleeding. My last CBC showed HGB 13.2 Platelets 57 My hgb is usually higher like 13.8 to 14.2

thanks for a detailed history of your case. Well, radiation kills the fast growing cells in the body which include cancer cells as well as normal cells. It is a known complication of radiation to get rectal bleeding along with sticky mucus in stools which are usually more towards the loose side.
To grow back the damaged rectal wall you need to take LACTIFIBER 2-spoons with warm water once at night for a month. Use probiotics like Capsule VSL#3 twice daily for 10 days. Add an antibiotic with zinc like Cap. Bevon or tab. Health-ok once daily along with tab. FOLVITE for a month.
if these remedies do not solve the problem then it is prudent to visit a colorectal surgeon / Proctologist for further treatment.

do you feel it would be best to stop using the Hydrocrotison suppositories? Do ypu feel their doing more harm then good? I wil your sujestions
