Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .Based on the facts that you have posted you have been diagnosed to have UTI and was being prescribed Tetracycline and later on Ciprofloxacin but failed to get desired results with no improvement in your symptoms .
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem
1) Was your urine culture done and the antibiotics were prescribed as per culture report ?
The probable reason for not getting response to these drugs could be be mostly due to fact that the organisms causing infection may not be sensitive to these drugs ,
I would suggest you to get get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily .Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report
Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
Ensure to drink more water .To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.

Enterococcus faecalis infection is common in females .
Detailed Answer:
hello
Thanks for follow up .
Perineal and peri anal region of females is natural habitat for bacteria especially for Enterococcus Faecalis hence it is very common in female to get infection due to proximity of anus being very close to urethral opening as compared to male. Second reason why females get UTI frequently is use of common toilets which are most of the times unhygienic .
As regards your doubt acquiring this infection from proved MRSA infection that your husband has I would state that it is unlikely to be contagious since you have Eneterococcocus faecalis and Klebsiella infection which are different bacteria from MRSA .
I would suggest you to repeat urine culture and take aantibiotics s per culture report .
Thanks and Regards.
