Suggest Treatment For Recurring Vaginal Infection
AS BELOW
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
As such, just a vaginal discharge is nothing to worry about.
It is physiological ( normal ) at certain phases of the menstrual cycle, when it gets thick and whitish.
If there is no smell, no itching, and no pain, nothing needs to be done.
Regarding recurrent thrush, the following pointers -
1. Get her blood sugars tested.
2. Get a vaginal swab and culture done, to identify any resistant type of fungus, which might need a long course of oral therapy.
3. Avoid taking antibiotics unnecessarily.
4. Do not use soaps, gels, cleansers, douches, medicated or perfumed products to clean the private parts. Just clean with lukewarm water and XXXXXXX dry gently, change undergarments frequently, avoiding moisture and dampness.
5. Never self treat thrush, it can get very complicated, always have the diagnosis confirmed by a doctor and act as per prescription.
All the best
