Brief Answer:
Conjunctivitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

You may have contracted what is known as Conjunctivitis, either viral or bacterial. Either way the therapy is usually eye drops, (continue moisture to the conjunctiva) and patient waiting. If you wear contact lenses I would suggest you remove them, clean them and do not reuse until these symptoms have subsided. Furthermore, make sure you engage proper hand and eye hygeine. Conjunctivitis symptoms typically last 1-2 weeks. However, if you are experiencing any visual loss or disturbances, significant pain, sensitivity to light, signs of herpes or potential std's (which can infect the eye membranes) I suggest you seek medical attention for a further workup.

I wish you the best.

Thank You for answering my question. But my eye ball itself is not affected it is the skin on my upper and lower Eye Lids themself. It's not on the inside it's on the outside. The skin under my eyes is also swollen. Do you think it is still what you suggest? It is definitely not "std" I have not been active in years. Can I get an antibacterial cream or do you suggest something different?

Thank You very much in advance

Brief Answer:
My Apologies.

Detailed Answer:
Forgive me. I think that irritation from the eye may have caused concious or unconcious affecting tissue of what surrounds the eye (eyelids) and or vice versa, either by irritation, the contact that results (Rubbing, scratching) and or even possible spread of the virus. You will have to forgive me as I cannot perform a physical exam it is hard for me to definitively state where and what exactly is going on; but based on experience and my symptoms these are my best bets. I still suggest hygiene and contact removal as stated before. In regards to antibacterial cream, that may very well be useful, but it might also be useful to obtain mild eye based topical contortionists such as Hydrocortisone Eye Cream or Drops to lessen the inflammation. I hope this has helped
