Question: Dear Sir
Since last few days my wife is having severe itching problem in internal ladies parts. She has also observed that they became very dry.
May be due to menopause period.
Can you please help us.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about itching.

Following is my reply:

1) The itching has nothing to do with the menopausal symptoms.

2) This appears to be more like fungal infection.

3) Let her apply candid ointment to skin outside the private parts.

4) Let her insert one tablet of Candid CL vaginal pessaries daily at night for next 6 days. This will help in curing the fungal infection and reduce itching.

5) In XXXXXXX these tablets are available over the counter. You can take the same.

Why I was worrying that the problem is associated with hormonal change, because the skin has became very dry..
so should she try the candid ointment ?
