Question: Hi I had sex with a sex worker 2 months back. I started having rash on my abdomen hand and back which are red, raised and itchy. The rash appeared 12 days back. I don't have fever or flu like symptoms till now.
Can this be HIV rash?

Brief Answer:
I don't think so.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

Welcome to HCM.

You had sex with sex worker but tell me whether it was protected or not so that I can comment further on your exposure and risk of getting HIV. As such I don't think the rashes you have are due to HIV.

They are more likely looking of to be allergic or due to some other skin infection.Consult dermatologist to isolate the cause andfollow the treatment as per expert advice. For any query get back to me again.

Thank You

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome back and thanks for follow-up.

If you had protected sex then the risk of HIV is not there even though the condom is broken then also the risk is very less with single exposure so don't get worried or anxious and move ahead in life.

Thank You
