Question: Hi yes just yesterday my nipples are very sore. I was having a shower and used a rough sponge and maybe I just brushed across the nipples too hard. They are always cracked but never sore. Now in part of the nipple they are red and sore

What I can get from your history is that you had a shower yesterday and used a rough sponge. And there is a possibility of brushing hard across the nipples. The nipples are always cracked, now in part of the nipple they are red ad sore.
With the history you have provided , I am of the opinion that the cracked nipples predisposed to the abrasions of the sponging and allowed infection to set in and caused them red and sore.
In such a case I would advise you the following:
Please apply Liquid povidone Iodine or spirit if you have. This helps to make the area sterile and infection gets manageable.
A small course ( of a few days) of an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen ( if it suits you) is a better precautionary measure and helps in curing the problem. You might need a doctor's prescription to get hold of antibiotic. Contact your local physician.
