Suggest Treatment For Red Inflamed Mole On Face
![default](/r/images/default.png)
"Compound mole" with secondary infection. Take a course of antibiotics.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.
I can understand your concern for the mole on face.
I've analyzed the pictures with diligence and after proper analysis let me reassure you that the mole appears as simple "compound mole" with secondary infection.
Compound moles are simple benign moles which never turns into malignant ones. The only thing of concern is secondary infection due to which it is itchy as well as red and raised in appearance. As I can get a history of squeezing the mole so it is the main offending factor for the secondary infection. You can see that there is central yellow dot over the area which shows pus accumulation in the same.
I suggest you to meet a doctor and take a course of antibiotic for the same for earliest resolution of swelling. Till that time there are certain suggestions which are applicable in your condition:
- The most important thing you should do is to not touch, pinch, pop or squeeze the area by any means.
-Stay away from hot and humid climate.
-Maintain good hygiene.
- You can do cold water compresses over the affected area.
Do not try to do some home remedies. If at all you want then can apply topical antibiotic such as “Mupirocin” cream in a very thin layer two times a day or preferably night time. .
For the pain part you can take any good pain killer tablet such as paracetamol or Ibuprofen for 2 times after meals.
Do not worry you will be completely alright soon. My all best wishes for your early recovery from the problem.
"Wish you good health"

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mam,
Welcome back and thanks a lot for your swift response.
Though in general these kind of moles with secondary infection do require a course of oral antibiotic. But in case if you are not able to get to doctor immediately then can observe the area for next 12-24 hours.
You can follow the suggestions given in previous mail and can take over the counter antibiotic cream along with the anti-inflammatory drugs. In case if the area is receding then can continue the same till the subsidence. But in case if the area is increasing then should immediately report to a doctor.
My best wishes for the earliest recovery.
