Suggest Treatment For Red, Itchy Skin In Groin Along With Foul Odor
This is suggestive of a fungal infection!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this red itchy skin that you have reported. I will very much appreciate if you could send an image for review ad more insights from me. However, most itchy rash in the groin is caused by a fungal infection. You would most likely need an antifungal cream to take care of this. If there is no superinfection
of this area, there would be no need to use antibiotics creams. The itch usually gets worse with sweating and increasing humidity. for this reason, always try to keep the area airy and dry to reduce the inconvenience caused by the itches and foul odor.
If possible to send an image, fine. If that is not possible, go with the above information. Unfortunately, there are no over the counter antifungal creams and you would need to talk to your doctor most likely for confirmation of this suspicion and a script for the drug.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
Thank you for your diagnosis. I have settled on the same analysis and will get to the family physician for antifungal medication.
Thanks and best wishes,
