Question: I have a red rash that suddenly appeared a few days ago on my abdomen and upper thighs. It resembles a sunburn in color, but seems to fade at times and then turn red again. It is flat and widespread with no defined edges.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I have read your query. I understand your concern. As per details, there are following possibilities for your symptoms :
1 ) Urticaria: it is characterised by red colored itchy transient eruptions over body. It can be caused by allergy to recent infection, any food, seasonal change, drugs, pollen grains etc.
2) Urticarial Vasculitis:the rash doesn't disappear completely but may fade. It may be associated with pain or itch
3) Fixed drug eruptions: it is due to allergic reaction to the recent medication taken.

I would advise you to visit your doctor so that he can examine you or upload your images here.
Till you visit your doctor, you may take antihistaminics like levocetrizine for symptomatic relief of itch.

You can share my opinion with your doctor.
I hope it helps.
Take care
