Could Nuvaring Cause Skin Problems Like Prickly Heat Rashes?
my 21 yr old fair skinned daughter Marie has had a nuva ring for 1 yr. She has been a life guard for 6 yrs. Never had any skin problems. This year she has had prickly heat type rashes, and easily gets sunburned. No other health problems at all. Good health 5.3" 104 lbs. small but athletic. Can this be related to the ring?
Nuvaring may cause dry skin as a result of side effects. Do not let the skin get dry apply ointment soframycin or ointment Betnovate C at night on the area affected. You can take a course of doxycycline. Doxycycline-100mg to avoid rashes.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Keep yourself well hydrated. Take fluids and water in plenty.
