Suggest Treatment For Red Rashes On Body Of An Elderly Person
Question: my 92 year old Mother woke up with red blotches two days ago and still has them.
has not eaten anything unusual ,or done anything unusual. Could it be the heat of Arizona that she is not used to? The blotches appear ONLY where her clothes were on her.

do not have the means or knowledge to do so.
Brief Answer:
Either eczematous dermatitis or drug rash
Detailed Answer:
According to your complaints it can be an eczematous dermatitis or drug rash.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend her to apply cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Chlorpheniramine 4 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching and irritation.
It is unlikely to be due to the heat of Arizona as otherwise the rash would have occurred on sun exposed areas and not covered areas.
If you will be able to provide pictures of the affected areas taking help from your family / friends, I can be more specific with my response.
