Brief Answer:
Mainstay treatment is antiallergics

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

The mainstay of treatment of ant bites is antiallergic and pain-killers.

She can be given syrup cetirizine if she itches the area. Cetirizine can be given upto 2 times a day. Pain-killer like syrup ibuprofen can be given upto two times day.

From your description, she has the symptoms of redness and swelling. These can be taken care of with cold water and applying some nail-polish remover that will neutralize the venom. If the redness is severe, steroidal medicine can be applied locally like 0.1% hydrocortisone ointment.

If she has difficulty in breathing or new rash then she will need to be taken to a doctor rightaway. Otherwise she will get better over a period of 4 - 5 days.

Hope it helps.
