Suggest Treatment For Residual Astigmatism After Lasik Surgery
Question: i had been operated for lasik in both eyes four months back.my power were right -6.30 spherical and -2.75 cylindrical.left eye -6.00 spherical -1.75 cylindrical.now one week ago i went for eye check up and i had diagosed with -0.75 cylindrical in my right eye and-0.25 cylindrical in my left eye.do i need to wear glasses?my lasik surgeon said i dont need them.but i m confused that if i wont wear then my power may increase.one opinion also said that i should wear glasses while reading,using computer,driving etc.kindly give ur opinion.

If you are comfortable in the visual acuity then it is ok. But if refraction post operatively done is correct then you should go for residual correction by specs.
In my opinion you can wait for few days since post lasik surgery healing is in process of settling down. May be after few days you may not need any correction. So every thing depends on your acceptance of visual acuity. If its fine for you then you need not go for specs but if you feel the vision is better with correction then you should have it.
