Suggest Treatment For Right Hand Elbow Fracture

Needs immobilisation, limb elevation, may need fixation
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
When and how did sustain the trauma?
Do you have weakness, tingling or numbness of the inner aspect of your forearm and hand?
According to the reports have radial neck fracture and avulsion fracture of the oleceanon process.
There is also medial collateral ligament injury to the elbow which could contribute to instability if not treated.
If the radial neck fracture isn't displaced, or can be treated in a cast as well as if there isn't much of a large size fracture fragment of the oleceanon.
The decision to operate or treat in a cast depend on the above factors.
Keep the limb elevated. Take pain killers for the pain and swelling if the fracture is less than a couple of weeks old. The fracture should heal in 8-10 weeks if properly immobilised but the triceps aviation may need to be fixed.
If possible, please upload a photo of the Xray film for a better understanding of the fracture and a more informed suggestion.
I hope I have answered your query.
Regards,
Dr. Aashish Raghu
