Question: So about a week ago I got slapped in the face by my drunk friend and I have had mild ringing in my left rear for what is now 7 days and it is driving me crazy. I can't afford to go to a doctor but I haven't had any pain or bleeding or any discharge from my ear just the ringing, I have a concert coming up in 10 days and idk if it's safe to go but the ringing will not stop

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic, Thanks for writing to us,

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad, I have read your question, I understand your concern and will try to help you in the best possible way.

According to your history and description of symptoms it looks to me that you might be having damaged ear drum.

This is really a matter of concern if ringing hasn't improved for 7 days.

You need to get an ENT specialist's check-up , you have to spend on it, because if this thing is not dealt with it may lead to certain complications and may lead to a permanent problem.

Meds and treatment can not be suggested until ear drum damage is not ruled out by directly looking at the ear drum.

Though it didn't bleed but it is not necessary that ear drum will always bleed when damaged.

So i will suggest you to meet ENT specialist or atleast a GP and get you eardrum looked at.

You wont like this thing to get permanent or more complicated.

Till then save your ear from water and when you take shower put an ear plug in the ear, save ear from pressure. Better avoid concert.

Stay blessed.

....

I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.
