Brief Answer:
I suggest a possibility of scalp seborrfhec dermatitis; upload an Image

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query and I have understood it.

I will keep a possibility of 'Seborrheic dermatitis'. It is a common condition in infants.
Seborrheic dermatitis is characterised by dirty yellowish, greasy, adherent scaling of the scalp in infants usually associated with dull red erythema/redness of the scalp.
However, I would like to rule out certain other conditions like 'Port wine stain'.

Therefore, I would like to gather more information from you regarding the query in order to be able to guide you better.
-Was it present since birth? If not, since when have you noticed it?
-Is it localized or is it diffuse?
-Is there scalp scaling too?
-Can you upload a picture for a review?

Regards

Brief Answer:
Infantile Scalp Seborrheic Dermatitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I have reviewed the Images. I can see a patch of red and scaly area on the occipital part of scalp.
This is seborrheic dermatitis affecting her scalp.
I suggest you to use a topical moderately potent steroid cream e.g fluticasone propionate 0.05%, on this area, twice daily for a few days. This is a prescription steroid. I suggest you to visit a dermatologist in your region for a confirmatory diagnosis and for the needful.
You may use a normal baby shampoo for her Or better if you use a cetrimide based shampoo. Cetrimide based shampoo is available on prescription of a dermatologist.

Regards
