Suggest Treatment For Sciatic Nerve Pain While On Celexa
Question: I am taking Celexa 10 mg. and I was wondering if there was an interaction between it and Glucosimin MSM and also Turmeric. I have problems with my right leg walking and getting up and down and I figure this
has happened after a fall flat of my rear end. Was jarring. Also, I may have a herniated disc that the fall could have set off with having the sciatic nerve pain. Crazy set of circumstances. I take Tylenol EX
about every two or three days. Thanks. XXXXXXX Quickel

Brief Answer:
no known interactions
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
There are no known interactions between these medications though they do interact with other medications.
Tumeric for example would interact with medications used to decrease clotting, anti acids (eg nexium, prilosec) and some pain medications (not tylenol).
These four medications (tumeric, glucosamine , tylenol and celexa), are safe to use together.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Thank you. I felt that Turmeric was interacting with the anti-acids I was taking as I felt a bit dizzier than usual and a bit "strange." I have started taking the generic of Zantac so how am I with this and an interaction? Have stopped the Omeprazole as that is what I was wondering about. I did stop Turmeric also for the present.
Brief Answer:
may possibly interact though you may still try and see if it effective
Detailed Answer:
HI
I am sorry that you had an interaction, hope the symptoms stop soon if they haven't already.
The University of Maryland medical center website unfortunately also mentions zantac . Tumeric can interfere with the action of these anti acids making them less effective and making the reflux symptoms rebound and possibly worsen.
If you use the zantac or other anti acid and it still works for you, then you can consider continuing it.
Please feel free to ask anything else

Taking the Turmeric is not that important and Zantac does not work as well as the
Omneprazole. So, guess i will think about this. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
agree
Detailed Answer:
HI
I agree with you.
Omeprazole and the other medications in this family of drugs suppress acid production better than zantac or pepcid so they are more effective.
You can think about it and decide what is best for you
