![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I have recently been dx. with GAVE. I understand that scleroderma is associated with this dx. I have reviewed syptoms and think this may be a possibility. Should I just talk with my family doc? Or should I see a rheumatologist?
What is the treatment for scleroderma?
Brief Answer:
Get followed up by rheumatologist...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history and suggest to get further evaluated by rheumatologist.
The treatment will include:
- antibiotic (d-penicillinamine)
- vasodilatators to prevent Raynauld phenomenon
- anti-inflammatory drugs and analgesics to reduce inflammation/pain
- PPIs to control high acidity of the stomach
- immunosuppressors
Hope it was of help! Do not hesitate to contact me again if you need further clarifications!
