Suggest Treatment For Scratches And Abrasion On The Penis
Question: Hi
I recently had the copper coil fitted & the strings were left quite long.
They are still very hard as they haven't softened yet, anyway my boyfriend & we're having sex & I think the coil string has a scratched the inside or his penis & caused an abrasion.
He is in pain when he pees & ejaculates, sex is completely off the cards at the moment!
It is taking a long time to heal & he is in a lot of pain, do you have any advice.

I am so sorry to hear about what your boyfriend is going through. I have reviewed the information fully and it seems unlikely that the coil would have cause injury to the inside of his urethra. It would have been most likely for the coil to cause wounds on the surface of the penis and not the urethra. I have feeling that he might have an infection of the urinary pathways and would need to get his urine checked. I will recommend he do so. For now, let him drink much water as well as take tylenol to relieve himself of the pains.
Do you feel any discomfort form the strings? If that be the case, approach your provider and he/she would address tho as it may lead to you rejecting contraception, whig has huge benefits, because of the bad experience.
