Suggest Treatment For Seborrheic Dermatitis And Secondary Folliculitis
Question: I have attached some images of my scalp. I suffer with seborrheic dermatitis and secondary folliculitis as a result of my condition. I have now started to develop what looks like strange patterns in my hair. I have googled this and have come up with a quite frightening condition called folliculitis devalcans. Does it look like that condition?
Brief Answer:

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photographs.
I can appreciate some red patches on the scalp along with few pustules.
You need not worry as you don't have folliculitis decalvans. It usually presents as round patches of hair loss along with crusting, pustules and progressive scarring.
I can see decreased density of hair in some areas of the scalp and it is probably due to seborrhoeic dermatitis.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

The crown area seems to be affected by small areas where the hairs seem to be tufted or growing in all different directions is this due to seborrheic dermatitis also?
Brief Answer:
This pattern can be due to seborrhoeic dermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Tufted folliculitis shows patches of scarring hair loss along with a margin of small pustules around the bald patches.
Your presentation doesn't fall into that of tufted folliculitis apart from presence of few tufted folliculitis.
Your pattern can be due to seborrhoeic dermatitis.
