What Medication Do You Suggest For Raised Inflamed Bumps On Face & Ears?
My 6week old was diagnosed w seborrheic derm.. Her entire face and ears was covered in raised inflamed bumps. It looked like burn marks.. I used an antifungal 2 days and it started to peel and the baby would cry so I stopped use and used petroleum jelly for the dry red peely patches that covered her face. Her face has cleared only her cheeks are slightly red so I keep putting petroleum jelly. Today I noticed a funky smell from one of her ears. I checked behind it and it seems like there s a cut-because the crevice is so deep- it has this white wet discharge which is what smells. Is it part of seb derm? Could that have been the cause of it spreading to her face and can it spread again? Did I do right by applying petro jellycon her face? She also has mild cradle cap but it doesn t seem to bother her and its not noticible.
Stop using Petro jellycon that causing excess moisture and increasing bump. Use good antiseptic cream like Soframycin and Clotrimazol powder for local application, it will heal soon. Give enough exclusive breastfeeding to your baby.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
