Suggest Treatment For Seizure Disorder In A Child

Question: My 08 month baby got admitted in ICU due to seizure disorder having episode of more than 25 minutes. Where doctor done all the test like video EEG, MRI/MRS, SPINAL FLUID TEST, METABOLISM TEST. BUT ALL REPORTS IS NORMAL. DOCTOR PRESCRIBED LIVIPIL SYRUP 1.5 ML TWO TIME AND EPTION SYRUP 2.5 - AND 5 ML IN A DAY ALONG WITH VITAMIN D AND VIZNORAL VITAMIN SYRUP. MY DAUGHTER FEELING LETHARGY AND NOT FEELING AS EARLIER. WHEN SHE WILL GET COMLITELY CURE AND IS THE MEDICINE IS GOOD. IS ANY PROBLEM REGARDING NORMAL DEVELOPMENT OF MY BABY.

I completely understand your concern.
This may be a case of seizure disorder without any specific etiology.In about 20% cases of seizure disorder all the investigations(even video eeg) found to be normal.
Here regular follow up with assessment of physical and mental growth is needed.
I won't get worried if the birth history was not significant and development till date is normal,as all the investigations are normal and major abnormalities have been ruled out.
Continue with the seizure medication.The baby can be lethargic due to the post seizure state or due to the medication and I assume that it whould improve within few days.
