Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain

Question: Hi I am currently in hospital with severe abdominal pain they have ruled out appendix .they said there is free fluid in near my ovaries and in my womb ! And think it might be due to cyst! I am being discharged but still feel very unwell and have been for weeks
Brief Answer:
possible ovarian cyst rupture ...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for the query,
if appendix has been ruled out then there is a likelihood that you may have had a ovarian cyst rupture which has caused fluid in the pouch of XXXXXXX It can be easily diagnosed by an ultrasound pelvis as to what is the state of ovaries whether they are polycystic or there have been any more cysts present or not. Also an enlarged ovary can cause dragging lower abdominal pain persistently.
I would request you to attach teh previous ultrasound report for the purview.
In the meantime you may take NSAIDs like MEFENAMIC ACID 500mg for pain relief. Also hot fomentation can help you alleviate your pain.
regards

I don't have the report in my possession. I do have that awful dragging twisting pressure like sensation. I had some bleeding over yesterday , my period ended 6 days ago . I'm not pregnant ! I have no appetite with last week and have been feeling very full quickly , I also have been suffering night sweats followed by chills, I have no energy , I had vomiting and severe pain on Sunday hence my admission! My fbc is normal ,
They also said there is some fluid in my uterus , it's normal size, the surgeo said he is finished his work up discharged me to my primary and advised a quick referral to gynae, I feel very weak and dizzy , is it possible there is infection and it's not showing on my fbc?

Brief Answer:
likely varian torsion
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I feel considering that the pain was localised and severe on one side and associated with vomiting, this may be an ovarian torsion. This would have to be evaluated with an ultrasound doppler pelvis studies to check for flow to the ovary. This would have to be laparoscopically operated and the ovary to be untwisted for the cure. As you have a referral for your gyn, please pay an early visit after an appointment.
It is unlikely to be an infection as the complete blood count is normal,
