Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety And Depression
Question: i have such crippling anxiety. I worry about everything. My husband has noticed this all too well. Currently taking 0.5 Xanax twice daily and can take 0.5 Xanax LA 2 at night and 1 on AM. I don't take very often because it does not work
Also take lamictal 300 mg equetro 400 mg and pamelor 75 mg
My anxiety truly makes my life very painful
Any suggestions?

Can you please let me know why are you taking lamictal and equetro?
Pamelor can have anti-anxiety effects but 75 mg is an inadequate dose for that. It's minimum effective dose is 100-150mg.
What other drugs have you tried in past for anxiety?
Have you tried any psychological treatment for anxiety like deep breathing and meditation, biofeedback, progressive muscle relaxation etc?

Taking lamictal and equetro for severe depression. I have use every ounce of energy just to do that. I spend my weekends in bed

Well, I do not think lamictal and equetro are adequate or rather appropriate for such severe anxiety and depression.
There is a risk of cardiac problems with pamelor. But when you have no Cardiac issues in past, I think dose can be easily increased. Just be cautious, a six-monthly ECG can be done to monitor Cardiac status.
I think SSRIs like paroxetine or SNRIs like effexor should be a better choice, if not tried earlier.
