Brief Answer:
Most likely radiculopathy from cervical spine.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to radiculopathy from cervical spine problems like spondylosis. This is due to nerve root compression by spinal discs. A physical examination by orthopedician and X ray of cervical spine will be helpful to rule out this.

How long the pain last. ?
Is there any provoking factors for pain. ?
Is it more after getting up in the morning. ?
Any relieving factors for pain. ?

For such case if you were my patient then i would suggest taking NSAIDs like aceclofenac, muscle relaxants like tizanidine and neurotropic drugs like pregabalin. I also advise physiotherapy like TENS and muscle strengthening exercises.

Sleep on hard mattress. Wearing soft cervical collars will be helpful. You can also wear a orthopedician pillow while sleeping and sitting. Avoid high pillows.

Let me know if anything not clear. I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
