Brief Answer:
It has several benefits

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.

Arthritis in the hip is becoming a very common finding in the 6th and 7th decade, and surgery with hip replacement has shown very good results.

You already know that surgery's aim is for you to become independent.

Moving in the pool is important at this stage, because it helps you move the extremities which is a very important aspect to prevent muscles atrophy and especially the vein sphincters, which are prone to develop thrombus.

But there is no particular benefit on the hip itself, which is already remodelled due to arthritis and has no effect on improving your walk.

Hope this helps.

Wish you the best health.
