Hello!
Thank you for the query.
I assume that you have had an MRI and spine changes are diagnosed. I also assume that neurosurgeon said no to surgery.
Epidural injection is the best you can have for pain management. Some spine compressions are so advanced that no medicine will help, only surgery.
For sure you should try a mixture of NSAID (non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug) and opioide. From NSAIDs you should try Diclophenac or Meloxicam. From opioids Vicodin (hydrocodone) would be the best. You may also try muscle relaxing medicine like Tolperison or Tertazepam (it also helps with sleeping).
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Yes, many MRI 's, and to quote the last neurologist "operating on your spine; would be like removing a hangnail from a crushed arm." that was also in regards to my radiating pain in my arms and hands. Now this was easy to talk to you, but how do I have my primary doctor write me the prescriptions?

Detailed Answer:
Well, I do not know how to force your primary doctor to give you proper medicines. Maybe you should try to consult the doctor who is specialized in pain treatment. There should be such facility in your region. This is the same place where cancer patients can get help with the pain.
