Question: I bent over and hurt my back 2 days ago. I have stayed in bed since, but it is not getting better. Do I need to see a doctor or should I keep resting?

Since there is no improvement, you should consider seeing your doctor for assessment.
Muscle relaxants may be needed if there is any contraction of the muscles due to the injury.

Imaging such as an x ray may also be needed as well to make sure there is no bony injury.
If there are any symptoms or signs of possible nerve injury (eg numbness, weakness, tingling, difficulty passing urine or stool etc) then more in depth imaging such as MRI may be needed.
MRI can show nerves and tendons whereas an xray just shows bony changes.
